Bermuda Triangle: Fiction or Real?

Hello folks, once again I am here with an interesting and completely mysterious topic, Bermuda Triangle. It's not an unknown topic. This mystery has many theories and myths going around since it came in the wind. Well, It's also known as The Devil's Triangle. This adds more thrill to the story right? So, let's just go for it!!!

Legend of Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda Triangle is located off the Southern-Eastern coast of United States in the Atlantic ocean. It is bounded by Florida, Puerto Rico and the north-Atlantic island of Bermuda, covers about 500,000 square miles. Bermuda Triangle is one of the World's most busy coast-line and traveled shipping lane. It is the same place where many ships and planes go missing with no clues left behind. Till now, 300 ships, 75 air-crafts went missing and more than 1000 victims are dead.

When it all started

The vanishing thing in Bermuda Triangle keeps happening from many year ago, but at that time, because of lack of communication and platforms, the whole thing wasn't in spotlight, till 1945.

On 5th December, 1945 when a group of 5 air-crafts mysteriously disappeared. The flight-19 was a routine mock-drill of five avenger torpedo bombers, owned by US Navy. They were US Navy's most robust and reliable ship and submarine killers. Strange thing was, the rescue jet that was supposed to find them, also went missing with no crew members let behind. This is a very strange and weird fact about Bermuda Triangle that the places from where rescue was possible, the whole crew went disappeared every time with no wreckage, no clues, no stress call, not a single thing left behind.

Even in 1492, when Columbus was wandering in Bermuda Triangle, he saw strange lights in this area. So, it's been a mystery since centuries.

Even before 1945 thing, in 1872, an American merchant ship, Mary Celeste was found abandoned with no soul on the ship and the only lifeboat of the ship was missing. Some say that only a single sword was lying on the deck, but before you think it's a pirate robbery or something like that let me tell you that the ship was carrying alcohol and groceries of six months, but it was still on the ship left untouched, when it was found. Again,the whole crew went missing with no clues.

On March, 1918 the USS Cyclops disappeared while it was going from Brazil to Baltimore. So it had to go through the heart of the Devil. The crew of 309 members disappeared with again, no wreckage and no stress call!!! It is the highest number of casualties in a single day in the history of US till the date.

The phrase "Bermuda Triangle" was first used by an author named Vincent Gaddis. Ever since then the mysterious area was getting called by the same name.

The most recent incident occurred on 15th May, 2017, when MU - 2B, a private jet disappeared. But on the very next day, 15 miles to east in Bahamas, the US coast guard spotted debris with remains of MU - 2B again with no souls in it!!!

These are the some most famous incidents occurred due to this Bermuda Triangle's mysterious thing. But Bermuda Triangle has been a bizarre enigma for almost centuries.

Interesting facts

Before jumping to the causes behind these incidents, let's get to know some interesting things about Bermuda Triangle,

The area has some weird geographical structures, due to which it's not easy to travel through this area even without this mysterious things. Some of the researchers and archaeologists believe that beneath this area, lost Atlantis city is present, not the one from DC comics :D!!!

One of the most strange fact of this place is that, compasses don't show right directions in this area. That is because of compass variation. In this particular area, there is a narrow strip where Magnetic north and Geographic north, both become the same. That's something different from other places.

Another thing is, this area has weather issues like giant storms and huge waves as from both the North and the South side of the area, waves and storms keep colliding. So that result in a huge impact that can sunk a ship or air-craft too.

Some people say that this place is cursed, some say that the whole disappearing thing has something to do with paranormal activities and some blame aliens too, yes aliens!!! There is no mystery on this earth which doesn't include aliens :D

Some people also believe that there is a gateway to the another universe beneath this area!!!

Myths and Theories related to Bermuda Triangle:

Giant sea monsters

Some people blame sea monsters for all this vanishing things. According to them, there are giant monsters present beneath this area which causes disappearance of ships and air-crafts. Obviously this "Some people" doesn't include scientists and researchers. But this theory cannot able to solve the disappearance of air-crafts.

Cosmic time warps

This myth is being loved by Sci-Fi lovers. Time warps are found in this area which causes these mysterious events. We will discuss later on cosmic time warps.

Holes in the ocean

There are holes in the ocean that swallowed ships. But again, that doesn't prove the problems with air-crafts.

Super waves

Researchers and scientists blame this factor the most. Super wave is a combination of many rogue waves. This super waves can be 138 ft. long in height theatrically. But the longest super wave ever noticed was of the height of 100 ft. till the date. These super waves are able enough to sink huge ships and air-crafts.

One thing to keep in mind is that, super waves are whole different thing than giant tsunami waves. Tsunami waves reach to the shore and destroy everything that come into their way. On the other end, super waves never reach to shore. That's why it's not easy to spot or notice. This theory might be the reason because super waves come from nowhere instantly and that must be the reason why in any of the incidents there weren't any stress calls. But still there are many other incidents that cannot be explained by this theory.

Hexagonal shaped clouds

Most recently, a group of scientists found out something interesting about this area. This area has hexagonal shaped clouds which can generate giant air bombs that can conjure 45 ft. waves and 100 MPH winds. That is enough able to sink huge ships and air-crafts. Scientists have found same type of clouds on the north sea, too. So the same things may happen in that area too.

Waterspouts

These are nothing but tornadoes, giant sea storms. Bermuda triangle is a place where storms from both, the north and the south side, keeps colliding and that result in tornadoes. But still many of the incidents happened in very clean and neat atmosphere so this theory also doesn't explain anything completely.

Electric fog

Some researchers blame electric fog for the whole thing. Electric fog is nothing but giant storm clouds caused by thunder clouds and high solar winds. It also appears from nowhere and that may also be the reason for "no stress call".

Conclusion

So, in conclusion, I would say that we don't have any concrete theory or proof that solves the mystery of this bizarre enigma of Bermuda Triangle. All of the incidents were having some things in common, no wreckage, no soul left behind, no stress call. So what is it? Is the place really cursed or aliens have something to do with this?

Let me tell you one thing, when pilot Larry Kusche investigated Bermuda Triangle, he found that "most of the reports were either fabricated or mistakes".

Maritime insurance leader Lloyd's of London doesn't recognize Bermuda Triangle as a hazardous place and neither does the US coast-guard. It says, "In a review of many air-craft and ships losses in this area over the years, there has been nothing discovered that would indicate that the causalities were anything other than physical causes. No extra-ordinary factors have never been identified".

According to National oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, "There is no evidence that mysterious disappearances occur with any greater frequency in the Bermuda Triangle than in any other large, well - traveled area of the ocean".

So based on all this, I think that Bermuda Triangle is mixture of rumors, imaginations and fabricated news. It's been served as a good recipe by news channels, authors, novel writers to get attention. So the mystery of Bermuda Triangle is a result of totally misconceptions of facts and falsified reports. There is nothing mysterious thing present in Bermuda Triangle.
